Adriel Thompson

Adriel Ndapunique Thompson, is a dynamic creative hailing from the mining town of Linden. He’s primarily a spoken word poet and dabbles in photography and other artistic fields. The artist is an alumnus of the St. Joseph Highschool and the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School.

Like name and nature, his middle name has Namibian African origin and means “Uniquely Blessed” a message he transfers to art. The aim of his work is to iron a feeling and thought into the hearts and minds of an audience in a unique way or format. An expression of his individual soul in an attempt to speak to the deeper self and more universal human experience.

The Poet has hosted a number of events and spearheads an organization of creatives of varying talents called Lyrical Diversity. At the current age of 21 years he’s performed on many stages, some have led to nationwide recognition. In his continued endeavors the creative aims to infuse every faucet of his artistry with messages that forces individuals to think more complexly so as to inspire intrapersonal development as well as interpersonal development. He believes that when individuals lean more and more into themselves and their honest uniqueness, we begin to live in our purpose; a state that transforms oneself and the people around them into the best versions of themselves. Either through words on a stage, read or through attentively crafted visual art like photography, Adriel Ndapunique Thompson (AKA Rasunique) is an artist with a purpose.
