Guyana’s 2023 National Slam Poetry Champion and 2024 1st Runner-Up, Jamicia Mc Calman-Nelson is a Communications Consultant and Content Producer with over eight years of experience in the field of Media and Public Relations. A radio host and a former Television Announcer/Producer attached to the National Communications Network – NCN CH 11, this vibrant and eloquent youth figure is no stranger to the field of media, entertainment and keeping crowds on their feet.
Through her Media & PR Company – Anna Macc Media & Entertainment Network – she has chaired national and corporate events and TV/radio programmes including; the Rise & Jam Gospel Radio Show, Youth Talk Back Live Radio Show, WeLead Caribbean Conference, One Mega Weekend Gospel Concert, University of Guyana Talent Splash, and local & national pageant competitions across the country such as the Miss World Guyana Competitions (2017 & 2018) and the Mother & Daughter Pageant, to name a few.
Often described as an innovator and trailblazer by her peers, Jamicia is the founder of the inaugural Caribbean Content Creators & Influencers Summit launched in July 2024, Creator of Guyana’s first Fashion, Awards & Arts Showcase – Orange the Runway and Balancing the BARS – Guyana’s first audiovisual podcast series.
Mc Calman-Nelson is also the recipient of the 25 Most Influential Women Leaders Award.
